Summary

The rates of reported cases of acute hepatitis B were consistently higher among males than among females during 2006–2021. During 2011–2019, rates remained relatively stable among males and females and declined in 2020. In 2021, the reported rate of acute hepatitis B was 0.7 cases per 100,000 population among males and 0.5 cases per 100,000 population among females.
